Liquid Strike-Through Time Testing for Nonwovens
The LISTER AC offers automatic, standardized and reproducible determination of the liquid strike-through time of nonwoven coverstock or topsheet. This advanced testing instrument ensures objective measurements by excluding subjective operator influence and complies fully with international INDA/EDANA standards WSP 70.3 and WSP 70.7.
Testing Method and Process
The LISTER AC measures the time it takes for a known volume of test liquid (simulated urine) applied to the surface of a test piece of nonwoven coverstock to pass through the nonwoven material. The test liquid is discharged to the surface of the sample at a prescribed rate, and the time for all liquid to penetrate the nonwoven is measured electronically.
Standardized Compliance
The instrument conforms with INDA/EDANA standards WSP 70.3 (equivalent to ERT 150.5 and ISO reference 9073-8) and WSP 70.7 (equivalent to ERT 153.0 and ISO reference 9073-13). The accuracy surpasses the specifications of INDA/EDANA standards.
Integration and Software
LISTER AC is most often used in combination with Lenzing Instruments’ WETBACK for rewet testing. The instrument features optional software and USB-C interface for data transfer to computers, with results displayed both numerically and graphically in the LISTER/WETBACK software.
