Standardized Laboratory Instrument
VIBRODYN 500 – Single Fiber Tenacity is a standardized laboratory instrument for precise measurement of tenacity (cN/dtex) and elongation (%) of single staple fibers. Most often used in combination with Vibroskop 500 and Vibrotex 400, this instrument is standardized according to DIN 53816, DIN EN ISO 5079, ASTM D 3822, BISFA, and AFNOR G 07-008.
Versatile Application
VIBRODYN 500 is used for tenacity and elongation testing of all kinds of fibers. The availability of easily exchangeable clamps guarantees optimum quality control of any material. Continuous monitoring of the measurement progress makes VIBRODYN 500 a perfect tool for research, education and quality control applications.
Easy Handling
VIBRODYN 500 is “one-button-operated” – the operator simply clamps the fiber and presses a button to start the measurement. Optimization of reproducibility and accuracy is achieved by eliminating any human impact on the measurement process.
Quick Feedback
Test results are available within seconds, enabling quick reactions to quality levels and possible deviations from set quality standards. This rapid feedback makes the instrument ideal for continuous quality monitoring in production environments.
Advanced Test Method
A fiber is clamped between two clamps by electromagnetic force. The top clamp connects with the force measuring device while the bottom clamp moves until fiber rupture at constant rate of elongation (CRE). When used with VIBROSKOP 500 for titer determination, the titer of tested fibers is automatically communicated for accurate evaluation according to DIN 53816.
Optional Features
VIBRODYN 500 can be equipped with a device for automatic testing of fibers in wet state for BISFA wet modulus determination. Additional options include cycle test functionality and software for evaluation of characteristic features of partially oriented polyester fiber and filament (NDR).
